… is the container where professional musician, songwriter and teaching artist Celia Chavez synthesizes her years of training, creating and performing into thoughtful, challenging and inspiring learning experiences for both individuals and groups. Clients are encouraged to explore music in a physical way and embrace the whole of themselves in the practice of their artistry.

Celia (rhymes with HELL-yeah) believes that music and harmony are universal languages that have the power to change the world. As a professional singer, she has toured across five continents and sung in venues from the tiniest holes in the wall to huge arenas like Wembley Stadium and Madison Square Garden. One of Celia’s favorite pastimes is to encourage harmony with joyful, childlike souls and find a meeting place in music.  

Celia also is a published poet and was recently long listed for the 2024 Fish Poetry Prize. 

CHOIR CLUB

Do you ever wish you could meet up with a bunch of like-minded folks, sing and have fun while making beautiful, joyful music?  In an inclusive, safe space? 

Yeah, us too. 

Come sing with CHOIR CLUB starting Monday, June 24 in Santa Monica, CA on Monday evenings. It’s an immersively human musical experience, a laid back class, a community hang -- AND a low-pressure rehearsal and song study. We learn and perform one song a week for ourselves and each other.  

Objectives:

• To practice singing choral arrangements with others (sightreading is optional) 

• To weave beautifully blended harmony out of diverse voices

• To find unity of purpose in pursuit of harmony

• To sing our brains out and have fun

VOCAL HARMONY PRACTICE CLASS

Do you get flustered when it comes time to sing harmony? Ever wonder how people can pick out notes in a vocal arrangement or naturally know how to improvise a harmony part on the fly? 

Vocal Harmony Practice opens your voice and your ears up to precision and intuitive singing. It's designed to spark your curiosity and deepen your understanding of vocal harmony. We'll deconstruct what makes up vocal harmony, then sing the parts back into place. Through interactive exercises, ear training and group song study, you'll develop stronger physical and emotional connections to music and ease into the joy of harmonizing and blending your voice with others. 

You’ll gain a deeper connection with music, the demystified process of hearing and creating harmonies, confidence to sing in a group, and new connections with other singers.

Sightreading ability not required -- you will learn parts by ear.
